An imam's speeches in Iran were causing plenty of problems for the Shah. On the 12th of November 1964 he was brought to Bursa, away from the common eyes. "We heard that a scholar came to Bursa. They told us that he was coming to the thermal springs and going to stay for a long time. Imam Khomeini, he came as they had said. He had an entourage that helped him." told Şaban Aykut who was a witness at the time. He went around with security members from SAVAK as Iranian Secret Police then called. Once he had been to Grand Mosque (Ulu Camii) where he gave a Friday sermon (khutbah in Islam). He stayed in a house of one named Akın Öz in the neighborhood of Çekirge far off from the center of the city, writing his pamphlets till 5th of October 1965.
