History of Crafts: Making of Silk

When the cocoon is in hot water the threads loosen and can be reeled to a wheel. Textile in silk was a luxury commodity back in the middle ages. And Byzantines found a way to steal cocoons and reproduced them in Constantinople which became an important center of production as well as Bursa which also continues to be one.
